Mixer Concept

Mixer - Robson & Denman, Vancouver, BC

This concept puts a structurally bold community center at the corner of this busy intersection in downtown Vancouver. The idea for the form comes from the moment diagram that gives the most efficient shape to span the space using four curved metal members, with the cladding comprised of teflon-coated glass and full-height glazing. The floor plates are suspended from the steel members and stabilized by three core tubes, freeing up the planes to endless configuration.
